June is such a quilty month!
June is here! Someone needs to tell Mother Nature—but June really is here. June is a happy and sad month for me all at one time. I spent a week on the east coast of Canada for work in May and it snowed in St. John’s while I was there. Despite the cold weather, the people were warm and I definitely want to go back.
Happy—it’s our wedding anniversary this month. We truly do appreciate each other and what we each bring to the other’s life. We don’t take it for granted. This year we are even going out to dinner. In my last BLOG I mentioned going out to eat in February, we haven’t been out since then so it will be a real treat to enjoy someone else’s cooking.
Sad—so many guild activities come to an end. So many guilds will wrap up their program year and take the summer off. I would love to find a guild or sewing group that actually meets in the summer.
Happy—it’s Quilt Canada Month—I’ve been lucky enough to work at Quilt Canada in one capacity or another since 2013 and I’ve seen changes, while at the same time there is the consistency of kind quilters and beautiful quilts.
Life here is moving forward and I have some personal workshops and guild trunk shows on the horizon for next year, I’ll share those dates soon. EQ8 classes will be back
Enjoy your month.
lots of hills and brightly coloured houses in St. Johns—not just on Jelly Bean Row!
